So, after dinner as I was doing the dishes Zach decides to make himself a salad. He drowns it in Ranch (we have a chat about using a bit less next time), eats his fill and is called into another room. No sooner has his bum left the seat and Cait is crawling into it as fast as she can. She sits there very quietly eating away. Girl likes her salad......didn't even mind the abundance of Ranch dressing. Strange girl.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BILLY!!!!!! We are sad he is not here to celebrate with us but we will do it when he returns. We love and miss you very much.

Today we made play doh, played with flour in the back yard, and went fishing in the pond. After school we went to Grandma's to play in their basement and even had dinner! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

The boys have decided on rock climbing as their sport of choice this fall. I found a class for the older 2 and Owen can go for an hour and work with a guy there. We took them today for an hour to play around and try it out. They LOVED it and it's close enough to walk to. The boys start Sept 8! Even I think it looks fun and wouldn't mind trying it. They were so tired that John and O were in bed by 7:15 and asleep by about 7:20. Yippee! Love the rock climbing! I think Zach liked the knot tying and harness better than the actual climbing!

Bill is back in DC for the week. Yuck

Owen is looking for bears.....good luck with that O. It's been a bit since I've updated. School makes us busy and it's been pretty hot here. Zach has a friend over and we are all headed off to the pool.

John likes school! I think he was just really nervous the first day. Both boys are happy to go each morning. Yea! Owen has his last 2 days of summer camp and then he starts his school year Sept 4. Cait is up

I am sad, John cried, Zach barely said good-bye and thus our year began. John's kindergarten year was not as wonderful as I would have liked. We tried to tell him it was a new year, new kids, etc. He wasn't very convinced. Feels so wrong to leave him upset....goes against everything we have done so far. I just have to trust that this WILL be a great year for him. Can't wait until 2:30.

Poor Owen's jelly fish sting. One week later he had a "re-reaction" to his sting. It looks pretty yucky.
The boys return ot school tomorrow. Zach is a 3rd grader and John will be in 1st. They have met their teachers and both seem wonderful. I think they will have a great year. They are both very excited. I am happy they are so excited but not really looking forward to the end of summer. oh well.

Last of the beach pics. I actually didn't take too many pics....too busy just enjoying the day. Owen had summer camp today, John spent last night with Grandma and Grandpa, and tonight Owen and Zach are spending the night. Everyone is getting in their last bits of fun! I really am not ready for summer to be over. Guess I don't have a choice. The kids are kind of ready but not really. They haven't gotten bored yet! Off to bed.
