RIP Jessie and Dexter

Yesterday we put Jessie down. We have had her for 12+ years. She was really old and remained grumpy and stinky to the biter end. She was losing bladder control and really not able to get up very well at all. She is now running around in doggie heaven with 4 legs again!

We also lost the guinea pig this week......been a tough week. Our sweet and lovely new dog killed the guinea pig. Her only fault........she doesn't like rodents. He was actually a pretty cool guinea pig and he will be missed.

more from the wedding

the cool golf cart that took us up to the wedding site for the rehearsal
at the wedding site waiting for the rehearsal
my fam
Cait wearing her 'dot to dot to dot' dress for the reh dinner.

We have had 1-2 showings a day since we returned from Michigan. Why couldn't these people come while we were out of town? I am so over keeping the house clean. We have a 'repeat looker' today. We'll see....we're getting close to the wire here as school starts in 4 weeks. That makes me sad. I love summer and really miss the kids when they go back to school.

We went to Michigan....

We stopped for lunch in Kentucky
Really pretty in Kentucky
tractors of course
after the wedding but before the reception.

We had a great time at Uncle Mark and Aunt Tara's wedding. Michigan is really a beautiful place but very far away! We drove 10 hours the first day and 5 the second. A LOT of time in the car. The kids were great and we did have fun. The wedding was beautiful and Mark and Tara are off honeymooning. We are just glad to be home.

summer

O
pizza/movie night
in their boxes
where's Cait?

Owen had tubes put in his ears yesterday. You would never had known he had type of procedure! He was part of a clinical trial for a new way of putting in tubes with no general anesthesia!!!! It was done in-office with Mommy and Grandpa right by his side (while he watched a DVD he brought in). Amazing! The procedure itself took a long time, about 1 1/2 hours, but O was amazing and never complained. Yea Owen. Between the tubes and identifying a milk/soy allergy we are expecting a new child over the next 2 weeks.

Z and J have been at climbing camp all week and are very tired. They loved their camp and are wishing they could keep going. Bill was back in DC for the week and got back home late last night. We have 2 showings today and leave for Michigan on Wed! My brother is getting married next week?!

Back to Arabia Mountain

our kids
we saw this egg on the ground
Yea, we're here!
John does get hot and tired...not often but sometimes!

We spent the afternoon at Arabia Mtn with our friends from O's preschool (Rita, Connor, and Aiden). It was very hot but we had a good time. We saw 2 water snakes which was very exciting for the kids....not so much for the Moms! After hiking O went to spend the night with Grandma and Granpa and we headed to the pool to cool off! The kids should sleep very well tonight!
