4 years ago today......

In labor ...awoke at 4:30 with my first contraction. After being 4cm for 2 days I expected things to move a little faster than they did! She was born around 9:30 am.
with our amazing midwife and nurse and Billy (he 'caught' our daughter.

Life with Cait

Cait is our 4th and final baby. I was realizing yesterday we will never have a 3yr old in our house again. So bittersweet. Cait is SO full of energy and life. I often feel like I am trying to keep up with her. She is a whirlwind. She loves to dance and sing and laugh. She keeps us on our toes and laughing. She talks A LOT! (She is teaching us all patience! ) I love that she has a mind of her own and is not afraid of anything. We love our Winifred Caitlin Taylor and can't wait to see where she takes us next. Happy Birthday sweet girl.

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

watching the snow
looking out at the ice
snow!
Our redneck sled
Can't believe it but it is snowing. The kids were let out early in anticipation of snow, strange but true. I really didn't think it would actually snow.

Christmas 2009

Look what Bill....I mean John got for Christmas!

Grandma and Grandpa had fun picking out outside toys this year! We had a great Christmas! I did not take all that many pics as I as too busy just enjoying family and and friends this year. A very good Christmas.

**Thanks, Mom and Dad, for the vid camera ... even though I said we did not want one, we love it! You were right and yes, that hurt to admit!.

it's the night before the night before Christmas

slide
jump
watch
dig

Pics from yesterday. Kids not as nutty today as I had feared. Tomorrow will be busy with some baking, delivering cookies, wrapping presents, church, and dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. It will be fun and the kids are very excited. I think John is not feeling 100% so I hope he doesn't wake up sick.

how many days until Christmas?

playground
tree
watching some geese
walking
In an effort to counter-act some of the pre-Christmas 'energy' I took the kids on a 3+ hr hike. I am tired but judging by the sounds coming from the basement I don't think they are. Darn. What ever will I do for tomorrow? help!

Billy was in DC last week and just missed being snowed in! We are so thankful he was able to get home. The kids are now out of school for the holiday and that makes me very happy!
