Because you never know.....

The note Z left the other night after losing 2 teeth in 2 days! He keeps trying to get me to admit to being the Tooth Fairy. I won't do it and it's driving him nuts! I keep telling him everyone needs a little magic. I love magic.

today was inspired by a book....

mixing up the pink
Oh yea!
yummy
John is not afraid of pink

Cait got a book for her last birthday, "Pinkaliscious". Today she decided we needed to make the pink cupcakes from the book and so we did! She had to have candles and sprinkles on top. At least she was willing to share!

We have all survived the first week of school (still waiting on Zach to get home though). Everyone seems happy but pretty tired. Getting up early is hard! I have even had to set my alarm! I haven't had to set an alarm in years. I think cancer broke my internal alarm clock. Hope it comes back one day!

Our 6h grader....

Zach and Daisy
ready to go

Zach was not nearly as nervous as we thought he would be! I think he is ready for this....not sure if we are though. Hope they all have a great day.

It's that time again......

O (2nd grade), Z (6th grade), and J (4th grade)
Typical O

Another 1st day of school on the porch. This year Zach will be in middle school and leaves about an hour later than his brothers. He agreed to get up for these pics and promptly went back to bed....because he could! This year will be very different for us with Z in a different school and a very different schedule.

Saturday we went in-town and had dinner with friends and then off to St Mountain for the laser-light show. Fun evening and we tired the kids of but good!

Hope all the boys have a great first day. J and O were pretty excited to go this morning and even opted to take the bus. Wish they had let us drive them.... Cait starts her pre-K year after Labor Day.

The kids wanted to pan for gold (they had been once with Grandma) before school starts. So, off to Dahlonega we went! Very fun and such a cute little town.

More NC

off to the barn
waiting....
Bernini! John loved this horse
Owen

This was our last morning with Auntie and Uncle. We miss them!

We have been to open house for Zach at the middle school and John and Owen at the elem school. All seems to be fine. I think we are all ready for school to begin! First time ever that I have been excited for school to start! Feel like such a bad Mom. (I really am ready for preschool to start....shhhh). My daughter has been a bit difficult these days and I'll leave it at that.

Day 1 in NC....

playing with the clay

more clay in Uncle's studio

picking tomatoes

Cait

We went to visit Auntie and Uncle (Lisa and Stephen) for the weekend! So much fun! We are all exhausted now! Playing with clay in Uncle's studio, visiting some buffalo, playing in a creek, playing with the horses, visiting the Puckett's for dinner, playing in the hay......whew! We crammed in a lot when we didn't arrive until Friday afternoon and left Sunday morning! Thank you Auntie and Uncle for such a great weekend. We loved spending time with you both! The kids are missing you already and asking if we can move closer!
